LDPi designs a dazzling lighting “evening dress” for Vanke Metropolis switching on CBD

Vanke Metropolis switches on CBD was held on 21th November 2012. Hundreds of meters white LED lighting wall switches on with cheers of guests in live and passengers under the bridge of International Trade Center. A variety of the fashion pattern changing became the city’s new landscape.

LDPi served as the lighting designer of this project, whose creative idea came from the nature, quality, art.

Facade lighting design:

The original idea comes from the nature and art. It’s well known that light is dynamic, light changes very second and changes everything it touches. The facade concept is an abstraction of water falling down along the façade like the water falls. We try to represent the natural movement of water using artificial light. Creating different scenes, lighting shapes and lighting effects will be possible to make the façade very attractive. In order to keep the spaces as elegant as possible, we suggest a lighting grazing effect on the walls, this effect gives a strong character to the elements it touch.

Inner space lighting design

The idea of the interior space is to show the jewels which are in the treasure box. Jewels are sparkling all time because of the light they reflect, which causes a pleasant effect for the eye. Specially for those people living with different style. We follow the idea of the interior design consultant of keeping the interior spaces with mid-low light levels which leads the senses to relax. After all, home is a place to rest.

Typical unit lighting design

The lighting of the Units is subtle, abstract, and elegant. The lighting will be controlled by automation control systems which allow the user to increase or decrease the light level as they like. The lighting result will be a combination of different studies.
