BACKGROUND

The practise is predominately from an architectural and interior design background and as lighting architects and designers, are experienced in contributing creatively with design teams and professionals to ensure appropriate and innovative lighting solutions.


The work and lighting philosophy of LDPi has been recognised by being awarded with a range of major international lighting honours.

METHODOLGY

As architects that specialise in light we are in a unique position to work with and help, fellow professionals develop seamless integrated lighting solutions appropriate to particular architectural design issues. We have an inherent experience of architectural detailing and construction that gives us the ability to make informed and positive suggestions which will ensure a cohesive result. 

 

Our portfolio and experience includes the lighting of many different types and scales of building from airports, atria, auditoria, bridges, to hotels, offices, museums, shopping centres and exhibitions.


Lighting can be one of the most imaginative innovations in architectural design, understanding what it has to deliver takes vision and specialised experience. 


Practical infrastructure allows projects to be resourced and serviced efficiently from any of our studios. We have experience in operating and designing with professionals in many countries including, Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, UK and UAE. 

Each of our projects is managed and designed with the personal involvement and direction of the principals, supported by skilled lighting designers mainly from an architectural background. All offices are fully equipped with CAD and various graphic systems. Internet connectivity ensures quick and efficient communication both between our individual offices and between clients and project teams around the world.

Holder of an MA Comparative Literature (Africa / Asia) from SOAS University of London and an MA Design Management from Staffordshire University, she is also a professional and technical consultant for LUCE e DESIGN magazine in China.
