The one-and-half-day investigation on China’s current urban lighting environment in Guangzhou successfully drew an end on December 14th, 2013. The event aims to investigate the present state and problems in environment lighting in major cities in China, to provide reference for future lighting design and to promote and guide its development. The outcome will be published to promote energy-saving lighting design and the wider application of energy-saving products.
During the activity, the team was divided into 3 subgroups to record and investigate the façade lighting of major buildings, public lighting and etc. along 3 different routes covering Huacheng Square, Tianhe Sports Center and Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street by taking pictures, on-site measurement, recording and hand sketches. The findings were finalized, analyzed and each team gave presentation to share the outcome.
