“South Luogu Lane Hutong Lighting Festival” expresses design idea by modern lighting artwork based on feature of Nanluoguxiang Hutong Festival. The theme focuses on “time space and pass through”, “history and morden”. According to this theme, LDPi&LDDC designed and displayed lighting art work along the South Luogu Lane. “ Time Gate” at the south entrance was designed based on this theme. When tourists walked through “time gate” organized by interleaving lighting, it created a sense of space to make them feeling mixture of antiquity and modern. The “Impression of South Luogu Lane” can interact with tourists by three colorful lighting set and deliver the history of South Luogu Lane”. Red lighting is that red gate at the depth of Hutong telling thousands of stories on Beijing in past. Yellow shows proud born in Beijing, because numbers of emperors, famous writers, artists, politicians and etc. were born here. Green presents a creative vitality that modern elements are combined into ancient South Luogu Lane with hundreds of history. Besides, “Ideal Home”, “Bamboo Rhyme/Free the Spirit”, “Wanqing Wall”, “Old Phantom of No.106”, and etc. were displayed. Designers and design organizations include Jing Zhang(LDPi), Dominique Phommahaxay(LDPi), Xu Wang and Huaxia Jingrui Company, etc.
